Creating healthier, happier lives
My goal is to help people to be their best – the happiest, healthiest version of themselves and I love being able to motivate and inspire people to eat well and take better care of themselves through the work that I do and by living my life as an example.
I was born and raised in the UK where I became a qualified dietitian and fitness trainer in 2004. I moved to New Zealand in 2005 to pursue my dream of helping people to help themselves when it comes to their health and well-being.
After initially working in a health education role for Diabetes New Zealand, I was encouraged to set out and pursue private practice for myself, so I set up Mission Nutrition from my living room – and look how it turned out?! I am thrilled and feel very privileged to be doing a job I absolutely love and making a difference in the world.
Outside of work I am a very lucky to have a beautiful (and busy) 3-year-old and a darling baby boy who arrived in November 2017! I love walking, yoga and hitting the gym. Camping, skiing and tramping are highlights of mine (when I find the time?!) – along with spending as much time as I can with my awesome friends and family.
What I’m currently up to
Owner/Director of Mission Nutrition – I lead a team of dietitians and nutritionists in my private nutrition practice, offering one on one nutrition consultations, workplace wellness programs, workshops and supermarket tours. Click here to go to the Mission Nutrition website.
Healthy Food Guide Nutritionist – My role involves being a content creator and ideas machine for the magazine, writing articles and stories. I represent Healthy Food Guide throughout the media and I am also the face of the Healthy Food Ideas TV commercials.
Speaker – I travel all over New Zealand and internationally sharing my inspiration and ideas on happier, healthier living at events, conferences and expos.
Healthy Cooking Classes – One of my biggest passions in life is teaching people how to cook healthy food without it being difficult or super expensive. I grow a lot of my own veggies, have chickens in my backyard and make a lot of my food from scratch.
Media – For the last 12 years I have done an extensive amount of work in the media including being part of three prime time TV shows, featuring on the news, being a regular contributor to TV breakfast shows, having my own radio show and frequently featuring in print media. I am also currently filming a 10-part TV series which will be airing in 2017.
I have the most fantastic team of qualified Dietitians and Nutritionists who work with me at Mission Nutrition run nutrition clinics, deliver workplace wellness programs, workshops and supermarket tours.

Steps for Life – This fabulous programme run by Monty Betham and his amazing sister Chante. I designed the nutrition section of this program and have the great pleasure of continuing to support and work with this amazing organisation.

Look good, feel better – I am currently working on putting a nutrition plan and advice together for people undergoing cancer treatment.
