Understanding your bump

YES that is a bump! But nope, I’m not pregnant!

It’s just my body doing what bodies do when you have a uterus and it’s that time of the month (especially after having a baby!)

There is so much chatter these days about bloating that sometimes I think we forget that some degree of change in your body, it’s shape around your period and after you eat, is normal!

Having a flat stomach all day or no change in the size of your belly would be unusual. 

But these are things to definitely be on the lookout for which could be the sign of a problem: 

  • Pain 

  • Fluctuating between diarrhoea and constipation

  • Being uncomfortably distended after eating

  • Indigestion

  • Blood in your stool

  • Belching

  • Feeling tired ALL the time
